The Buckriders Hoard

For centuries the lands between the cities of Aachen and Liege have been ravished by famine, disease and war between the Dutch Republic, the Habsburg Monarchy and the Holy Roman Empire. But, none of these Great Nations ever cared about the lives of the poor peasants in the backcountry, about the rolling hills, the dark woods and the rustic hamlets. These ever shifting borders are all just lines on a map for the Powers That Be. Little did they realize that their cruel oppression bred a hunger for mischief and rebellion.

Before the raid...

In this folktale you are Buckriders , masked bandits from Dutch and Flemish folklore, riding through the night sky on the back of goats, aided by dark magick. None of you are real heroes, although some of you might think you are. All of you are villains, but none are really evil. Most of you are just victims of circumstance, suffering from poverty, hunger and exploitation. 

But, you all swore a bloody oath upon the Hand of Glory , before the Black Captain and your brothers-in-arms. Selling your soul for mischief and witchcraft to the Great Goat himself. Now you have to live and die with the consequences.
